About
The People's Fridge is a community driven free food pop-up and warehouse in West Philadelphia, PA. For the last 5 years, TPF has distributed fresh produce, groceries, pantry items, and nourishing meals to our neighbors. TPF seeks to dismantle barriers to nutritious food for communities facing systemic inequities, particularly those impacted by food insecurity, poverty, and racial disparities.
Mission
Founded in 2020, The People’s Fridge embodies a dual mission of food justice and environmental sustainability. Rooted in principles of dignity and autonomy, we address the socio-economic barriers that limit access to food in our community by bridging the gap between hunger and nourishment. The People’s Fridge distributes an abundance of free groceries, fresh produce, and prepared meals throughout the 52nd Street Corridor in Philadelphia, PA.
