The People's Fridge (TPF) is a one ton, three door floral refrigerator located in the 52nd street corridor in West Philadelphia. Founded in 2020 in response to heightened food insecurity amid the pandemic, TPF provides 24/7 access to free groceries, homemade meals, and other resources, no questions asked.

what are the fridge’s hours?

The fridge is open 24/7, 365 days a year! The only exception is when the Fridge is being repaired.

what donations do you not accept?

We do not accept any form of raw meat, uncooked dough, alcohol, medications, frozen items, or unsealed/partially-eaten foods. Please limit the amount of cans donated to 12 or less at a time.

how do i donate?

Groceries: Feel free to stock the fridge with groceries anytime! Before adding items, please double-check for any rotten or expired products and ensure neat organization to make browsing easier. Remember not to place any large cardboard boxes in the fridge. To avoid fines, kindly dispose of all trash in the designated dumpster


Prepared meals: Each prepared meal must be individually packaged, clearly dated with the prepare date, and include a comprehensive list of all ingredients and allergens. By adhering to these measures, we ensure the safety and transparency of the food provided in the fridge
